How our order process works
Overview
If you’re looking for courier services to the UK
then look no further than Nightline, a specialist that company that organises parcel delivery services to the UK on a daily
basis. A considerable number of businesses in Northern Ireland trust Nightline with
their important deliveries, using the firm’s Smartship® technology to track their
consignments all of the way.
Day one – afternoon
The first stage is for a local van operator to go to the client to pick up the parcel.
It is then driven to the local depot where it is scanned, sorted and prepared for
onward transportation to the Republic of Ireland and Nightline’s central distribution
centre.
Day one – evening
After the parcels have arrived at Nightline’s central hub just off the M50 near
Dublin Airport, they are scanned and their whereabouts is registered immediately
on the company’s website. The barcode system used by Nightline ensures customers
that need a next day delivery service to the UK are
always informed about the location of their package.
Day two – early morning
By early morning, the parcels are on their way to the UK and will soon arrive at
Nightline’s main distribution centre in Birmingham where they will once again be
scanned and sorted.
Day two – morning
Nightline has a major distribution network in the UK, with around 120 different
depots, meaning customers’ packages arrive at their destination as soon as possible.
The final stage of the parcel delivery process is
carried out by another local van operator who will take the parcel from the local
depot in the UK to the delivery address. On arrival a signature will be collected
by the driver and details of the consignment’s arrival will be posted online.
